        Is NetBSD 5.0 usable on Sparc32 smp (RT626). Last time I have checked, 
   kernel hangs due to a bug in smp support.


unfortunately SMP support for sparc is broken in netbsd 5.0
and -current.  if you need SMP, stick with 4.x for now.
