This is fixable.  You just need to use rasterconsole, and point it at
the appropriate view of the framebuffer.

This is the S24?  (That's the only 24bpp tcx I know of.)  If so, a
little birdie gave me doc on it, which I believe is complete, and it
doesn't have a whole lot of acceleration.  I can cleanroom the doc I
have into a description of the interface if anyone is likely to do
anything useful with the result.
