You should really use "-O2 -mcpu=v8 -mtune=supersparc", not just cpu=v8...
However even without compiler tuning SSH-2 (i.e. the version from
ftp.ssh.com, and using the v2 protocol) works quite well on even a busy
SS-2 (i.e. for interactive use -- bulk file transfers are best done with
ftp :-), and I've even done real work with SSH-2 on an SS-1+ as well as
on an IPX..... Subjectively SSH-2 performs as well on an SS-20 as it
appears to do on a P-Pro/200-MHz.
