There was a CPU bug in the 170MHz Fujitsu that permitted user code (an
annulled branch with a nop or ret in the delay slot) to hang the
system (first publicized by our own Charles Hannum on bugtraq). I'm
not aware of any OS workarounds for it.

But if you don't have untrusted users, this shouldn't be a problem.
