fwd it along) would be appreciated.

Subject: Fwd: ZX Frame Buffer and 2.0_BETA
To: erplefoo@gmail.com

I recently purchased a ZX frame buffer on eBay, for my SS5 after seeing
that it was supported in 2.0. It's a big thing, taking up two sbus slots
and all. After booting a 2004/05/04 snapshot, I checked my dmesg. The kernel
sees a ZX device. However, when I run 'xinit', X:0 dies on me. After looking
in /dev, I notice there are nodes for all the other frame buffers,
except the ZX. Reading my dmesg, zx0 is bound to /dev/fb. When I launch Xsun
-dev /dev/fb, I get a core dump. What steps do I take from my present
condition to get the card working with Xsun/Xsun24 (or perhaps XFree86)?
I've still got my old 8bit frame buffer, but it sure would be nice to have
24bit on the sparc finaly!

     Cheers,

     Zach
