Ah, yes. The -cc option is just what I was looking for.

The differnce between -cc 0 and -cc 1 seems to be, that in "1"-mode X
keeps switching between colormaps, while "0" pins it to one global
map.

@sideband: The other address doesn't work, too. Same issue.
