Hi Derek, hi Volker,

thanks for your reply.

First of all, I use a 10mb only networks because my
hub runs only at this speed.

On my solaris workstation, I done following stuffs

mkdir -p -m 755 /tftpboot
cd /tftpboot
ln -s boot.net C0A80003.SUN4M
ln -s boot.net C0A80004.SUN4C

----- /etc/ethers ------
8:0:20:78:6a:89 ra
8:0:20:13:6:44 test
------------------------
----- /etc/hosts ------
192.168.0.3 ra ra.chez.moi
192.168.0.4 test.chez.moi test
------------------------
----- /etc/bootparams ------
ra root=Zeus:/export/home/client/root
test root=Zeus:/export/home/client/root
------------------------
------- /etc/inetd.conf -------
tftp dgram udp6 wait root
/usr/sbin/in.tftpd in.tftpd -s /tftpboot
-------------------------------

and I have restarted inetd (pkill -HUP inetd).

As you can see, this machine can serve 2 machines : ra
is my SS5 and test is the SS2. Obviously, I netboot
only one machine at a time.

I have also started following deamons :

/usr/local/sbin/sun-rbootd -d -i hme1
/usr/sbin/in.rarpd -d hme 1
/usr/sbin/rpc.bootparamd -d

A strange thing is the "whoami call falled" because I
should have already fixe this problem because I have
successfully installed my SS5 using this methode ...

I continue my search but any clue welcome ;-D

Bye

Laurent
