Just read the rest of the thread.  Seems they must have completely
mangled things in reverse to make things "work as expected".

If they'd thought ahead, it would have been

	b %c%c(%x,%x,%x,%x)%s

But anyway...

So it seems I'm wrong as well (or you're right as well; as one who likes
positive outcomes, I'll opt for the latter).
