So, this weekend I installed net on two LX machines and an ss5. All went
swimmingly (I always wanted to use that phrase) until the last
install. This LX- not that this is the same exact floppy set, the same
install procedures, the same everything except ip addy and hostname, for
*three* machines- this last LX doesn't boot properly

all 3 machines are headless, all 3 were installed form the same
source/same floippies/ same dist directories.

and on the final machine I get

scsibus0: waiting 2 seconds for devices to settle...

now, it should be booting with a root device of sd0a - the same
partitioning scheme was used for the three machines (all have 2gig
cudas, it's literally identical partitioning).

so why did this one not install properly?

(and how do I fix this?)
