probably something like:
./build.sh -U -M /home/sparc/obj -D /home/sparc/dest -R /home/sparc/rel
You'll need to adjust the patches, of course.
But you can find binaries from the 1.6 branch from
ftp://releng.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-1-6/
