Actually I remembered this afternoon that I have had this
problem last January. And you solved it then. I have bumped
the stack limit and have built lisp successfully. The older version
that is : clisp-20000306nb1 from pkg_src 1.5.2 .  I just remembered
about 10 minutes after I had posted this sig 11 question.

I still can't build the later version 2.27 which pkgsrc 1.5.3
provides. (on sparc that is. i386 is ok). It would be interesting
to know what is wrong with this but anyway.

I've got lisp!:)
