Thought I'd update my netscape from SunOS 4.61 to Solaris 4.79. Installed
Solaris 7 onto an external disk, followed compat_svr4 to set up /emul/svr4
and installed the `communicator' package.

When I run communicator, it doesn't seem to receive any packets, e.g. when it
starts up, it tries to do a DNS lookup for it's own host name. I can watch
the request go and and the reply come back, but all it does it pause for a
while (DNS timeout) and then retry the request. I tried a few other Solaris
binaries (ping, nslookup, telnet) and they are all fine.

Just in case it was my kernel (1.6[IJ] Sun 4M devices only, and missing
compat_1[0123]), I tried 1.6J GENERIC, but with the same results.

Anyone else seen this (or have any ideas)? I'll see if I can get some 2.6
or 8 media and see what happens there.
