My 4/300 will not boot a 1.6 kernel. It hangs immediately after printing
the information for zstty0. Perhaps this is related to the keyboard problem?

I don't happen to have a suitable P4 frame buffer handy, so I can't test to
see if it gets past this point when you're not using ttya as the console.
