Yes; if the ROM code notices no keyboard is connected it switches to
serial port A for console.

I think there are some, though I suspect they are pretty minimal.  I
don't know enough about them to point you at more than what "help" at
the ROM prompt gets you; probably someone else can be more informative
in this regard....
