Hello,

i tried booting from floppy on a SPARC10 with no success.
The problem occures after ejecting the first one - the
things went fine so far - then i received the following
error message:

Floppy device to load the installation utilities from [/dev/rfd0a]:
Extracting installation utilities...
fd0a: hard error reading fsbn 0
fd0: controller status: state 17 (st0 70<abnrml,seek_cmplt,drv_chck> cyl

I've first formatted the floppies with 'fdformat -f 1440 fd0' under
FreeBSD and do a dd as described in the Install primer.

   # dd if=disk1 of=/dev/rfd0a bs=36k

   # dd if=disk2 of=/dev/rfd0a bs=36k conv=sync

What i am doing wrong?
The same set of install floppies works on SPARC5-110.

Kind Regards

Sebastian
