I just ran through an install of the 8/16 snapshot on releng.* twice, once
with "Complete with X", once with "Custom".  The former didn't install a
GENERIC kernel by default.  The latter gives you the option to select your
install tabralls and kernel-GENERIC.tgz is not selected by default.

I can't imagine this is intentional.  Havn't tried i386 yet.  Anyone?
