ok, so i'm installing 1.5.2 on my sparc5 (build a new mail server, woo!) and
what do you know?  booted up after install, and wierd ascii garbage before the
name of the machine on the login: line.  not the same as linc's as this one
actually had high ascii crud in it too.  serial console, no other problems
noticed during the entire install process.
