the ELC is nearly as powerful as the SS2 or IPX.  it certainly is
better than the SS1, SS1+, or SLC, except that you can't have an
internal disk.  this can be construed as a feature (and was by
sun's marketing :-)


i used an ELC for about 7 years, ranging use from my only box, to
my server to my desktop...always with netbsd.
