Sure.

NetBSD supports a much wider range of machines (at least assuming that
what I've heard, that Solaris has dropped support for sun4 and sun4c,
is true).

NetBSD is open source, with all that implies, like fixability and
support.

NetBSD is significantly lighter weight (more important on older
machines without gobs and gobs of RAM).

NetBSD also runs on your your VAX, your i386, your NeXT, your Alpha,
your DECstation, etc....
