try:

$ dmesg |grep -i cd0

...you should get something like this:

cd0 at scsibus0 targ 6 lun 0: <TOSHIBA, CD-ROM XM-3301TA, 0272> SCSI2
5/cdrom removable

...of course, you'll need to mount the drive's 'c' slice:

# mount -t iso9660 /dev/cd0c /mnt/cd-rom
