for the NVRAM see "http://www.squirrel.com/squirrel/sun-nvram-
hostid.faq.html". (Taken form the NetBSD Sparc/FAQ at 
"http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/sparc/faq.html") I had never problems 
with the nvram.
