i tried booting from tape on a sparc2 i was just given by a friend, but i get
the message "The file just loaded does not appear to be executable." i was
pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out, but couldn't.  so just for
grins (and to make sure i wasn't crazy, i /have/ done tape boots before) i
stuck it in my SPARCclassic X and it booted right up without a hitch.  so, what
is the deal with the sparc2 that it can't tapeboot right?
