Generally speaking, the UltraSparc based machines have flash memory,
and there is a way of updating the flash memory (and hence, the
OpenBoot version).  All the v7 and v8 based machines, as far as I know,
require a physical change of the OpenBoot PROM chip to get a new
version in the machine.
