Greetings,

I've just finished installing the 20000607 snapshot of NetBSD in my
SPARCbook 3GX. It was my general understanding that the big difference
between 1.4.2 and these snapshots were the conversion over to the ELF
binary format from a.out... but having played on several linux systems
where both types of files co-exist peacefully, I didn't think I'd
encounter any problems...

 Not having 20000607 X11R6 packages, I used 1.4.2's X11R6 packages... I've
also downloaded the entire 1.4.2 SPARC package collection... upon trying
to start X, (with startx) I get a terse message:

ld.so no such command (or something to that effect)

I get the same effect when trying to install the bash-2.04.tgz package...
which seems to tell me that I am indeed having some sort of issue using
both a.out and elf together...

 Any suggestions?
