mpg123 -r 8000 -m <filename> does it for me on my (now) headless SparcSLC
(20MHz, CPU usage ~90% when playing mp3s).
Sounds somewhat rude of course, but I don't expect more from a ~4cm speaker
driven by 8kHz/8Bit µlaw/mono hardware :-)
