   Also, I don't have a disk populated with 1.4.2. I'm trying to figure
   out how to do a net install.

Ya, me too..  there appears to be a bug that was introduced in the last
rev [1.41] of the cgthree driver.  Something in the blanking of the
colormap, if I recall correctly.

I think that the previous rev will still work, but I have not tried it
yet.
