Ah ha! that was it - thank you. Now, it loads boot.net, gets it
bootparams, nfs mounts the server, and pulls down the kernel. 
it spins through its data/text count (the very first line where the /\-
spins), then says 

Program terminated
ok

sunmon-compat? = false

any ideas?
