The minute after I sent this I noticed another user who posted the
exact same question and received a response from Matthew Green.
So, I feel rather stupid now, but I will submit an entry for the
NetBSD/sparc FAQ as soon as I get around to getting this to work.

BTW, is there a way to make the bootable CD on another platform?
