Could you supply a bit more information; e.g. *exactly* what the
kernel outputs when it crashes, as well as the kernel itself and
`dmesg' and `mount' output from a normal boot?  Just knowing it's an
`alignment fault' is unspecific enough to make it impossible to
proceed.
