no luck from news, so a question here:

SS2 & LX, LC2+1, no luck. I've now tried three different LC2+1's (one
old, two spanking new). My 1.4 kernel, though I've tried the GENERIC 1.4
as well, allows me to open the device. I see the characters that I enter
with a modem connected with a sparse /etc/remote definition.

My devices look like:

0 crw-r--r-- 1 uucp wheel 100, 0 Sep 27 21:54 mtty00
0 crw-r--r-- 1 uucp wheel 100, 1 Sep 27 20:13 mtty01

My remote entry looks like:

BASIC|Basic setup:\
        :el=^C^S^Q^U^D:ie=%$:oe=^D:
magma|Dial-out on magma port tty0:\
        :pa=none:dv=/dev/mtty00:br#9600:dc:tc=BASIC:

My dmesg from the LX returns:

CREATURE (my 1.4 with MAGMA_DEBUG enabled):
magma: matched `MAGMA_Sp'
magma: magma_prom `MAGMA,21_Sp'
magma: intlevels `2 7 8 9'
magma: chiprev `E'
magma: clock `64'
magma0 at sbus0 slot 0 offset 0x0 level 9 addr 0xf0348600 softpri 6: Magma LC 2+1 Sp
magma0 attach CD1400 0 addr 0xfe035000 rev 48 clock 25Mhz
mtty0 at magma0 addr 0xf0373000: 2 ttys
mbpp0 at magma0 addr 0xf036d600: 1 port

GENERIC:
magma0 at sbus0 slot 0 offset 0x0 level 9 softpri 6: Magma LC 2+1 Sp
mtty0 at magma0: 2 ttys
mbpp0 at magma0: 1 port

What do I need to differently? What should I try? What am I doing wrong?
I'd appreciate any/all thoughts comments -- no question is too silly.
Would my config file help? I can make my CREATURE kernel available for
those interested. Is there any doco on what I might want to do next?

Thanks,

peter

Did you ask on port-sparc@netbsd.org yet?
