This SS20 I happen to have in front of me has a quad Ethernet
card in it. It probes nicely:
qec0 at sbus0 slot 1 offset 0x20000 level 4 (ipl 7): 128K memory
qe0 at qec0 slot 0 offset 0x0 rev 1 address 08:00:20:21:30:77
qe1 at qec0 slot 1 offset 0x0 rev 1 address 08:00:20:21:30:77
qe2 at qec0 slot 2 offset 0x0 rev 1 address 08:00:20:21:30:77
qe3 at qec0 slot 3 offset 0x0 rev 1 address 08:00:20:21:30:77
But unfortunately, as soon as it sees packets on the wire, it gets
upset. I get this with every packet:
qe0: tx dma sbus error ack
qe0: resetting...
I find this especially curious, since this only happens on packet
reception (I never see the packet in BPF, BTW), though there's
obviously a transmission problem, too, since my packets never get
out on the wire. This is with a cross-over cable to a 10base-T/AUI
transceiver attached to a sparc 2.
Using qe3 instead of le0 as my primary interface, attached to a
hub, nets a similar problem on packet receiption:
qe3: rx dma sbus error ack
qe3: resetting...
Could this be a bad card? Or is it our driver?
