It's the SPARC that carries tha MAC address, as you have noted.  The idea
is that you don't use both interfaces on the same network, but you connect
them to two different networks.


Under SunOS, at least, it was also possible to assign a different ethernet
address to the interface via ifconfig(8).

I notice that ifconfig(8) under NetBSD does not even report the ethernet
address, much less accept it as a configurable parameter.

Network routing, i.e. thru le0 and le1, will take care of the rest.
