There's a SS2 at one of my jobs that has a CD drive on it. I'm still
stuck with 1.2G (I think) on it, because everything newer refuses to
play audio CDs (which is the only thing I ever use it for) with errors
very much like those. (I'd give dmesg details, but the machine is
turned off for a power cut this weekend.)
I keep meaning to check out older and older /sys trees until I find the
change that broke it, but haven't had the leisure to do so yet.
