I have a MCA640 magneto opitcal drive I am trying to use with my IPX.
I have netbsd1.3_alpha installed
sd1 is the correct id for the drive
I have tried the following commands, and written the results following
them
Thanks for any help
John
>disklabel -r /dev/sd1
sd1: no disk label
>disklabel -R /dev/sd1 MCA (MCA is included at the bottom)
sd1: no disk label
disklabel: warning, unused partition c: size 310352 offset 0
disklabel: ioctl DIOCWDINFO: Label magic number or checksum is wrong!
(disklabel or kernel is out of date?)
>ls -la /sbin/disklabel
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 139264 Nov 3 14:40 /sbin/disklabel
>ls -la /netbsd
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1661832 Oct 30 17:49 /netbsd
>dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rsd1c
it returned:
