I grabbed the boot disk from ftp.netbsd.org for the Sparc port.
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/sparc/install.floppy/boot-12A.fs.gz
Using rawrite on my PC, I made a disk, and did
ok boot fd()
on my SS1 (BTW, sunmon-compat = false & security-mode = none).
I get
Booting from: fd(0,0,0)
Bad magic number in disk label!
Can't read boot blocks.
Boot load failed.
ok
I've tried 2 disks, and cleaned out the drive.
Whats going on? (Is there another way to make sure the
floppy drive works? This SS1 is quite old...).
Thanx,
Nate
