I suspect this is some weirdness with the ie driver. On my NetBSD/sun3
machines, all of which have ie Ethernet, I always see exactly one such
message at boot time (just before the noise line from savecore); they
seem to work just fine after that. (Except that I am getting seriously
spammed with "ie0: no carrier", which I haven't yet looked into in
enough detail to know whether it's a problem with the physical medium
or perhaps with an AUI multiport hub.)
