Ok, I already down-loaded and extracted the files in the X11 directory in the sparc dir at ftp.netbsd.org, xbin, xinc, xcon, xman 

when I start X, or Xsun, the screen blanks and just sits there
xdm and startx and xinit won't start when I enter them on the commandline
