Carrying on my monologue: I tried again this morning, and it worked. I now
have NetBSD up and running on my SS20.

On performance tuning: this SS20 is equipped with 256MB RAM, and 16GB
hard disk. It is to be a dedicated caching proxy server, running Squid.

I've looked at the Apache performance tuning tips for BSDI; how many of
the following are approriate for NetBSD?

1. maxusers 256.
2. SOMAXCONN already 128 in socket.h.
3. NMBCLUSTERS?
4. CHILD_MAX == 80 now.
5. OPEN_MAX == 64 now.

I have an identical SS20 running Solaris 2.5. I have no doubt NetBSD will
outperform it. I also have a couple of UltraSparc-2's running Solaris 2.5
and Squid. It will be great if NetBSD on the SS20 beats those, too. ;)

TIA. Cheers.
