Hmmm, I got that message even with a monitor and keyboard plugged in.

Yup. Thanx.
Anyhow, I've just made a little more progress. ;(
During the installation, newfs dies with a segmentation fault. When I say
"sh install" at the prompt, I get "error 22" occasionally. I have 256MB RAM
on the SS20.
