G'day (again)

Thanks to all the folk who helped me boot the ol' 4/330
(For those of you who don't know ... the sun4 series like the boot scsi
id`s in hex and multiplyes of 8)
also ... the SunOS CD needs to be booted of partition 1 for sun4's
and partition 2 for sun4c's

Anyway .. I stray from my topic.

Have followed the instructions of the Apr 11 snapshot ... got the OS
installed .. and bootable

It gets up to the point where it want to mount the root filesystem
ie. "root on sd0a" and then hangs. Complete machine lockup .. break doesn't
help :(

I scanned through the mail archives .. and I saw a few postings about this.
Seems to be a malloc/floppy problem. As my 4/330 doesn't have the luxuary of
a floppy, I can't use the "floppy in the drive" solution.
This is the kernel dated Apr 12 in the Apr 11 snapshot.
I have played with scsi id's and fstab's to no avail.
Is there a kernel that works for the 4/330's that someone could put up for
ftp (or worst .. email to me)?
I would gather this has been fixed in the current source by now, but as I can't
bring it up to sup/compile a new kernel .. I can't go with that option yet.

Sorry to be a bother.
And thanks again for the help so far. :)
David
