...except, at least for one card, the semantics of the hardware don't 
allow for Mouse's idea...rather, it works something like:

	-link0		aui
	link0		transciever
	-link1		transciever port is bnc
	link1		transciever port is utp

I'm not sure if those are the exact values, et al, but it's basically 
"link0 determines use of transciever, and link1 tells the transciever 
which port to use".
