i am trying to install netbsd 1.1 on a sun4/260 and am having a few
problems. the box looks very much like:
SUN4/260
8M VME card
32M VME card
SCSI (internal) VME card
sd0 (ID 0) sunos root/swap/usr
sd4 (ID 2) netbsd root/swap/usr
sd4 at si0 slave 8
sd4: <CDC 94191-766 cyl 1632 alt 2 hd 15 sec 53>
current partition table (original sd2):
partition a - starting cyl 0, # blocks 38160 (48/0/0)
partition b - starting cyl 48, # blocks 76320 (96/0/0)
partition c - starting cyl 0, # blocks 1297440 (1632/0/0)
partition d - starting cyl 0, # blocks 0 (0/0/0)
partition e - starting cyl 0, # blocks 0 (0/0/0)
partition f - starting cyl 0, # blocks 0 (0/0/0)
partition g - starting cyl 144, # blocks 203520 (256/0/0)
partition h - starting cyl 400, # blocks 979440 (1232/0/0)
SCSI (external) VME card
no devices
i am using the GENERIC kernel (which maps sd0 to 3 and sd3 to 0).
additionally i am using the sunos boot blocks (since i used sunos newfs
to create my filesystems)
from the from i issue:
>b sd(0,8,0)netbsd -as
