It means you must arrange for a machine on your network to act as a
`bootserver' for your machine. This involves setting up a directory
that is to be remotely mounted (with NFS) as the root filesystem on
your `diskless client'.

Besides making and populating this root directory, there are various
other administrative tasks to be done on the server, like making sure it
"exports" the directories with the proper attributes and installing
bootstrap programs that can be TFTPed, etc..  Since these things really
depend on the brand and model of the server machine you are using, you
should consult the documentation that came with your server.

BTW. this paragraph has been rewritten in the latest version of the docs
to refer to man pages: diskless(8) on NetBSD systems, and add_client(8)
on SunOS systems.
