I presume the "something" which "must be wrong" is the fact that I'm running
1.0, not 1.0A/-current? Or are all these (/usr/bin/time, sh, bc) all
statically linked (-:

Does this mean that the Mysterious Shared Memory Slowdown problem has been
fixed in -current?

If so, is there any chance of a back-port Official Patch for 1.0? I've got a
completely full SCSI bus and am very gun-shy about trying any kind of an
upgrade at the moment because of it ...
