I, too, get this error with both the latest (21 Jan) tarballs, and a kernel
supped as of 1 hour ago. (25 Jan). Mine will boot up and recognize my SCSI
devices, then after probing the last disk (a cdrom) will commence to
spew
probe(esp:0:6:1) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:1) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:1) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:1) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:1) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:2) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:2) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:2) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:2) timed out
probe(esp:0:6:2) timed out
and so forth, until it reaches 0:6:7, at which point it will probe for fd0
and hang. At this point, nothing works, including STOP-A.. (L1-A).
I never had this problem with 1.0R, but I'm updgrading because 1.0R won't read
my CD after one mount.. (See recent post to port-sparc about it.)
Any assistance would be appreciated.
