OK, I'll bite. Why no kernel(s), Paul? (Otherwise, multi gratzi (-: )
(Why am I asking? I'm anxiously awaiting the day when I can convert ol'
"isolar" here from SunOS 4.1.3 to a NetBSD/SPARC post-1.0 release, but I have
been waiting until there is reasonably solid support for my Sony CDU-561
SunCD+ CD-ROM drive and my Exabyte EXB-8500. Bootable kernels - one with
target 3 hardwired to sd0, the other generic - would be a Really Big Help.)
I'm hoping that if the "Can we make a build self-contained" discussion leads
to changes to "make" (and I guess "[gt]roff"?) I can risk building a -current
system at work, but I tend to be kinda nervous about it (as well as being
time-strapped), and I like the warm fuzzies of using snapshots built by people
smarter than me (-:
