Can anyone help with this error message I get when executing make in
/usr/src/sys/lib/libkern:

building profiled kern library
sh: warning: running as root with dot in PATH
sh: warning: running as root with dot in PATH
tsort: cycle in data
tsort: udiv.po
tsort: mcount.po
ranlib libkern_p.a
ranlib: libkern_p.a: Inappropriate file type or format
*** Error code 1
 
I get a similar message when building the kernel (except that it
refers to libkern.a).

I am building the kernel from the 21/08/94 sources using the ranlib
from the 04/08/94 usr.bin.

Any help appreciated.  Thanks,
