I've been holding off upgrading my system, but decided to take the
plunge now that the off_t changes have propagated into the source tree
completely. This morning, I downloaded the new snapshot, blew away my
old installation, and ran the install script.

Evidently, the dev.cpio.gz file doesn't contain any devices, despite
what the readme sort of indicates. I discovered this when I hung after
trying to boot. No worries, as I just hooked up the disk to another
sparcie, mounted up the root, and did 'sh MAKEDEV all', and then I was
up and running.

Hell, I was even able to generate a new kernel, but I'm having ahell
of a time getting it to boot. My system is installed on a disk that
I'd like to be sd2 (scsi ID 0), so that when I eventually bring it
home I dont need to be unplugging disks and changing SCSI id's all
the time. I have the following lines in my configuration file:

config netbsd root on sd2 swap on sd2 and sd0

	tg0 at scsi? target 3
	sd0 at tg0 drive 0
	tg1 at scsi? target 1
	sd1 at tg1 drive 0
	tg2 at scsi? target 0
	sd2 at tg2 drive 0

Unfortunately, in order to boot from this disk, I have to say:

boot sd(0,3,0)netbsd

It then boots, but panics because it thinks root is on sd3a, and not
sd2a. I believe this is because the eeprom has sd-targets=31204567;
however, if I change sd-targets in the eeprom to be 30124567, its all
confused about what disks are are what SCSI ID's.

Evidently, something has changed ( was running snapshot from 29 Mar
previously), because the kernel built from the same configuration file
was working perfectly for almost a month.

Is there an easy way to consolidate sd-targets in the eeprom and my
kernel configuration file so that things work as expected ?

Thanks in advance.
