first off, i have to say i am continually being impressed
with netbsd/sparc. thanks to everyone involved with the
port.

now, on to the problem section.

gdb hangs the machine all to regularly. i has just occured
to me this may be related to the swap problem.

when i run out of memory, the machine hangs. i had thing
problem first when i was trying to compile perl. i got
around it by killing everything else before hand. i know
running outta memory isn't a cool thing, but it would be
nice if netbsd handled it better.

anyway, gdb with break points would always hang the system.

will netbsd/sparc even be restartable the way sunos and
solaris are (break -> `ok> go') ? my terminal isn't the
best, and at times it loses out with flow control and
either goes in to graphics mode, or does a hard reset.
currently, both of these end up sending a break...and
killing netbsd...

oh. one stupid thing i've done so far: i went to upgrade
to the april 9 current image, but i had problems with some
of the programs in /usr/sbin (forget which and what now),
but i had forgotten to downgrade my include files back to
the march 27 image. the off_t changes -really- started to
break things i had compiled.

i think thats about all i've got to say now ;-)

.mrg.
