One nit, 'glxgears' seems to trigger instant X server death. Might not be easily avoidable if a GL screensaver starts up.

Hmm, I see that on sparc64 as well, I always thought that's another LP64 fuckup in Mesa.

Apart from that performance seems very reasonable; I'm going to spend the next couple of weeks building GNOME and we'll see how that goes.


Syncing is still quite paranoid in some areas and we should use the MTE for simple screen-to-screen copies whenever possible. There should also be some room for optimization in xrender ops with masks ( currently the mask is applied by software, doing it in hardware might be faster )
